Contrepoint is a newly formed vocal octet who perform a wide range of A cappella choral music, both sacred and secular, from music composed hundreds of years ago to the present day. As a consort, our aim is simple; to give the audience an engaging, exhilarating, but also reflective and calming concert experience alongside an exquisite standard of music.

Contrepoint is formed of young professional singers who already work in the professional world in choirs such as The Sixteen, The Dunedin Consort, Ex Cathedra, Tenebrae and many renowned cathedral choirs country wide. The members of the group share a common love of choral music which is portrayed to audiences through their immersive performances.

At its core, Contrepoint is a group of friends with a shared love of choral music. We come together throughout the year to give concerts of music that we enjoy performing.
